“Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” Comes to Universal Studios Hollywood Bringing a Dazzling Light Projection Spectacular to Hogwarts Castle and Festive Holiday Décor to the Immersive Land

Universal Studios Hollywood is increasing the excitement to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ by adding Christmas to the land. They will transform Hogwarts™ and other known places in Harry Potter by adding Christmas décor, holiday-themed food and beverages, as well as musical arrangements from the movies. Colorful projection mapping will light up Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with dimensional animations dancing throughout the castle several times throughout the evening. “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” is the land’s first holiday-themed program since opening last year at Universal Studios Hollywood. The land is inspired by J.K. Rowling’s stories and characters that were brought to life in the Warner Bros. films. It is an exquisite recreation of the films with Hogwarts™ castle as its focal point.

Nintendo Brings Its Latest Games to Navy Pier

Nintendo is taking their gaming systems on tour this summer with their 2017 Summer of Play tour. The popular gaming company will be taking their Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS systems to cities across the country, giving families the opportunity to play some of their new games while enjoying a Nintendo playground full of family friendly games and activities. The event in Chicago, IL was held July 7-9 at Navy Pier and featured photo opportunities with visuals of Nintendo characters like Mario and Luigi and the inklings from the Splatoon series.
